About Us

Established in 2014, This Little Piggy Went to Market was created by bacon aficionados who came from Toronto and who regularly attended the St. Lawrence Market to shop for fresh seafood, meats, cheeses, bread, dips and vegetables, AND to devour a traditional Toronto Classic - a Peameal Bacon Sandwich on a Kaiser.

Since locating to San Diego - America's Finest City, they were unable to find Peameal Bacon anywhere. So they decided to import bacon from Toronto, and sell Canadian Peameal Bacon Sandwiches at local farmer's markets.

As customer drooling for their sandwiches grew, they decided that it was time to leap from the market and make their Peameal Bacon more widely available. In doing so, they changed suppliers and secured a quality oriented, humane based producer in New Hampshire.

They are focused on providing Premium Traditional Canadian Peameal Bacon to lovers throughout North America. They distribute and sell to specialty stores, grocery stores, butcher shops, restaurants, Amazon - and of course right here on our Shop Page.
